Today Max and Sophie and I were sitting on the back porch enjoying a very exciting monsoon. (I didn't get a picture because I decided to just enjoy it ;-) For some reason as I sat there, enjoying the wind and rain and lightning, I started thinking about how I had made a plan....and this wasn't it. This was, in my mind, supposed to be the happiest time of our life. Our family complete... raising our last baby and watching our other children grow. I'm a planner. I planned this. And it didn't turn out. Now I'm not sure I'll ever be able to stop planning. But I accept now that even when I put in effort, the Lord may have a different plan :-) I have to.
Just another thing Sophia has taught me....I'm MUCH better at rolling with the punches than I used to be ;-)
